Jira allows creation of planned start and end dates for every issue type. Regardless of how you structure your issue tree, you can apply planned starts and ends to each level to track against completion targets.

Allstacks supports the following conventions across Jira Company-Managed projects and Jira Team-Managed projects.

End dates:

  • Built-in ‘Due Date’ field

  • Custom Field Options:

    • “end date” - Full string match, case insensitive.

    • “target end” - Full string match, case insensitive.

    • “planned end” - Partial string match, case insensitive.

    • “due date” - Partial string match, case insensitive.

Start dates:

  • Built-in ‘Start Date’ field

  • Custom Field Options:

    • “Start date” - Full string match, case sensitive.

    • “Target start” - Full string match, case insensitive.

    • “Planned start” - Partial string match, case insensitive.
