Co-Pilot Metrics Enhancements:

  • Adoption Metric: It now shows users in the state of active vs. inactive instead of the prior state of active, invited, not using, and not invited.
Active - Took action that week.
Inactive - Took no action that week.
The new categorization will allow you to drill down and view the contributors by name who fall into each category.

  • User Tags - We have replaced the co-pilot tags with more granular tags. Now, you’ll be able to see how recently the activity with co-pilot was performed.

Old Tag

New Tags

Copilot User

“Copilot Activity 0-7 days ago”

“Copilot Activity 8-30 days ago”

“Copilot Activity 31-60 days ago”

“Copilot Activity 61-90 days ago”

Not a Copilot User

“No Copilot Activity in past 90 days”

“Not Invited in Copilot” (never invited, therefore never accepted, there)

For additional information, visit the Co-Pilot KB article.

Restricted Viewer User Role: This new user type allows you to create users with “read only” access and no editing capabilities. Give this access to users who would consume the information but won’t build or change anything in the platform.

Users with this access can - View Dashboards, Deliverables, Milestones, Goals, and DORA

Users with this access cannot - Access Metrics or WIT, configure a metric, edit a dashboard, edit a deliverables report, update Milestones, or configure DORA.

To update users with the new role, navigate to “User Management” and change the “Role” column.

AI-powered Insights: Get insights and recommendations that are AI-driven, based on the dashboards that you subscribe to. You will receive the insights via email and in a PDF format.

The summary will include:

  • Summary - An observation of the populated metrics in your dashboard. For example, metrics missing/exceeding your target, outliers, alignment with goals, high activity projects, productivity areas, and any big changes that occurred.

  • Recommendations — Next steps to improve internal metrics, such as work allocation ideas to improve focus, prioritization suggestions, identifying projects with process improvement potential, and more.

To receive the AI insights, go to the dashboard you want to subscribe to, click on the 3 dots on the top right, and click subscribe. You will receive the report every Sunday.

Sprint attainment and sprint velocity widgets - A new option when creating or editing sprint attainment or sprint velocity widgets is to only show sprints created in the board you selected.
Reasoning - In Jira, you can have boards that subscribe to other boards and bring in those other boards' sprints. Often, there are situations where somebody is using the board differently than the team is using it and the new change will allow this behavior.

Date picker inputs are formatted as dates, and is no longer free text. You can highlight a portion of the date and use your up and down arrows to increment that part of the date, or you can quickly type and tab your way through specifying a more specific set of dates.

All source data tables can now be downloaded as a csv, giving you the full paginated list of all data so you can investigate further in your favorite spreadsheet tool. The new download csv button is in the top right of the source data table section on metrics.
Benefits:

  • The csv includes all the data regardless of how many pages.

  • If you've clicked on a series in the chart and filtered the source data that way, your downloaded csv will only show those items you filtered to. This lets you narrow the scope of the csv as desired.

  • Use the downloaded csv to sort and filter the full data set and potentially build some metrics yourself

  • Use the downloaded csv and the concatenate function in your favorite spreadsheet tool to get a list of IDs to take into jira or another source tool and pull up those specific cards, commits, prs, etc.

Limitations:

  • The columns included in the csv export are what you see in the app. You can't customize them to include additional columns.

  • Sorting columns in the app still only applies to the current page of data
